Moisturiser Mania!

Hello!

Today I thought I'd share my everyday favourite moisturisers. They aren't anything fancy but they really do the trick and I swear by them all! I have a bit of a moisturising obsession so whenever I'm in the Body Shop or at Bath and Body Works I walk round sniffing every moisturiser in sight. I like moisturisers to smell delish as well as actually doing there jobs. They're skin food and we like our food to smell nice so I make sure my skin's food smells yummy too. Might be a bit weird but I don't care.

Olay is my go to facial moisturiser. I've been using it for as long as I can remember (Okay, since I was about 13...). It is also what my Mum, Grams and Great Grandma have been using for years and years! (And I have to say they all have great skin, especially my Grams who really does NOT look her age.)

I use the normal/combo formula because my skin gets a bit temperamental and can't make up it's mind on whether to be oily or dry. Olay really does the trick and has never made me breakout (Which is why I'm a bit iffy about changing facial moisturisers). It soaks into the skin really easily and I'm never left with a greasy feeling (or looking) face.

The consistency is great as it isn't to thick or to runny- it's the perfect in between. It is also a very, very pale pink which is pretty. It doesn't really have a distinct smell which is why I think it is very good for sensitive skin as it has no harsh chemically ingredients.

Hand moisturiser is one thing I don't think I could live without and this Hemp Intensive Hand Butter has become an absolute essential of mine. I suffer from very mild dermatitis on my hands. The skin on my palms peels and becomes very rough and it sometimes hurts to use them. I also get very rough bits of skin running along my fingers. It isn't very nice. I have tried bazillions of different hand creams from Nivea to Clarins and this Hemp hand butter has been the best.

It honestly doesn't smell that great (Which goes my everything I believe in!). But it is so good. It makes my hands really soft and they have completely stopped peeling since I started using it. As it says in the description it is heavy duty, so it is quite thick and does leave the hands a little bit greasy which may put some people off but if you put it on just before bed it should be fine.

The normal hand cream version of this is also amazing and I usually keep that in my handbag (But I ran out and stupidly threw the packet in the bin). The hand cream really does smell nice, kind fresh like plants but not flowers. Which makes sense because hemp seed comes from a plant. But yes, it's hand cream hemp counterpart is also a great investment. Like the intensive hand butter it is also quite heavy and takes a long time to soak in but I feel like it is a small price to pay for such lovely soft hands!

Palmer's Cocoa butter is this months favourite! I picked it up randomly when I was at the supermarket because I'd just run out of moisturiser for my body, I wasn't even thinking when I put it in the basket. But boy am I glad that I did.

It smells delicious to begin with. Chocolatey without being fake and plastic-ey smelling which is what I think the "I love strawberries and cream" products smell like. It has a great consistency too, although when it first came out the bottle it seemed really thick- it actually goes onto the skin really well. It is in no way oily and applies easily. A little goes a long way though.

I've only been using this product for about a week but I cannot see my self stopping anytime soon. I even googled to make sure I could get it in the UK. I am that in love with it. My skin feels so much smoother and looks so healthy. My legs have also achieved a pretty sheen to them when I'm wearing skirts and they look great. I am beyond happy with this moisturiser.

I got this as a present from one of my mum's best friends when she went on a trip to New Zealand to visit her parents and I haven't been able to find it anywhere since! It is an Australian product.

I use this predominately on my knees and elbows because I am hater of cracked elbows and white powdery looking knees. It's an ointment so it is quite a thick paste-y product and it is very sticky which is why I don't use it on my hands. It also takes ages to soak in! Also with Paw Paw ointment a little goes a very long way...
It doesn't really have a strong smell and I love that it is made with natural ingredients.

I do own other moisturisers, I own mountains but these are the only ones I use on a daily basis. On a completely different note, I sadly can't find the Converse sneakers that I posted in my last post anywhere! I did however get a gorgeous Bebe leather jacket when I was at the Outlet Mall. It is my first jacket in 7 years! Can you believe that? I can't wait to get to the UK so I can actually start wearing it. It's killing me to see it all locked up in my closet!

Hope this post was enjoyable and I love the fact these are all drugstore products and really easy on the funds! I feel like there's no point buying really fancy high end products when there are really affordable alternatives that do the exact same job...

    1. Same, I'd rather pay good money for my make up than body moisturisers. Thank you <3
